Rental information for motorcycles and scooter

Required documents

The driver as well as the additional driver must present a valid driving license and a valid identity card or passport while handing over of the vehicle.

Driver's license printed with non Roman alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc) must be complemented by an international driving license. For driving licenses from countries not part of the international driver's license treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.

Rental information for renting a motorcycle or scooter

Scooter 125 ccm
Minimum age: 16 years
Driving license category: A1 / A2 / A / B
Driving license holder of category B must be in possession of this driving license category at least three years.

Honda MSX 125
Minimum age: 16 years
Driving license category: A1 / A2 / A
The driver should have provably driving experience.

Honda CRF 250 L, Vespa GTS 300 Touring
Minimum age: 18 years
Driving license category: A2 / A
The driver should have provably driving experience.

Honda FMX 650, Ducati Desert Sled, Ducati Scrambler, Ducati Monster 797, BMW F 700 GS, BMW R 1200 GS
Minimum age: 18 years
Driving license category: A
The driver should have provably two years of driving experience.

Means of payment and tariff information

Means of payment

Accepted Credit Cards
Master-, Maestro or Visacard

Prepaid and debit cards, e.g. VISA Electron, will not be accepted. The card must be in the name of a driver, must be presented at the time of the vehicle collection and must be valid at this time. The amount charged to the card includes the rental fee as well as all additional extras and charges.

Depending of the vehicle model, a deposit with the amount between 300,- Euro and 1.000,-Euro will be blocked on the card.

Direct booking tariff

When booking a "direct booking tariff", the payment will be charged with the total rental price (incl. booked extras and charges) prior to the rental. The driver and mode of payment shall be finalised at the time of reservation and cannot be changed. A refund shall not be issued for non-collection, vehicle being collected late or returned early.

A cancellation is possible before the beginning of the rental period. This must be done in written form by the renter. The date of receipt is decisive. In the case of a cancellation the following fees will be charged on the already paid pre-payment (amount of the rent including the booked extras and fees):

Cancellations up to

Tariff “payment on site”

When booking a "payment on site tariff" the following payment terms apply:

If the booking is made more than 30 days prior to arrival the amount from 50% of the total amount must be paid within 3 working days after reservation confirmation by La Palma 24 on our business account. Otherwise the reservation will be cancelled by La Palma24. The other 50% must be paid 14 days before arrival on our business account.

If booking is made less than 30 days prior to arrival, the total amount of the booking must be paid within 3 working days after reservation confirmation by La Palma 24 on our business account. Otherwise the reservation will be cancelled by La Palma 24.

Liability conditions

The rental price includes an all-inclusive liability insurance cover against personal injury, property damage and financial loss. The insurance sum is 50 million Euros for third-party damage and for personal damage.

A fully comprehensive insurance can not be concluded for the reason that the local insurers do not offer this for rental motorcycles or scooter.

Extras

Additional driver

Maximum one additional driver can be booked. A fee will be charged for the additional driver. Only persons mentioned in the rental agreement with a valid driving license are permitted to drive the vehicle.

Equipment

Helmets, jackets and gloves will be provided upon prior request and a fee will be charged.

Kidney belts and tank bags are provided free of charge upon prior request.

Delivery and vehicle refueling

Tank regulation full at collection / full upon return.

Vehicle handover

The vehicle handover is exclusively at our location in Los Llanos. A transfer is possible upon request.
